L'Angoletto means “the little corner” in Italian. And that is exactly what we want to be: a little corner of Italy in the middle of Hillerød, where good food, good wines and cosy moments around the table are at the centre.

Behind L'Angoletto stands Ilter Baran, who has many years of experience as a restaurateur in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg. Together with an experienced team, he has created L'Angoletto from a shared love of Italian cuisine and the Italian way of enjoying a meal.
Le materie prime
For us, Italian food is first and foremost the joy of good ingredients and simple dishes, where the flavour is allowed to speak for itself. Pasta, pizza, antipasti, fish and meat, good cheeses and of course something sweet for coffee. Food you want to share, return to and linger a little longer over.
Il vino
Our kitchen takes its starting point in the Italian classics and the tradition where a good meal does not need to be complicated. It is about ingredients, craftsmanship and doing the simple things properly. And of course about a good glass of wine. That is why you will also find a selection of Italian wines on the menu, carefully chosen to match both the food and those moments when a glass in itself is reason enough to drop by.
La convivialità
At the same time, Italian food culture is about more than what is on the plate. Food is something we gather around. A quick lunch can turn into a long conversation, a glass of wine can turn into dinner, and dinner may well last a little longer than planned. That informal and generous atmosphere is what we want to bring into L'Angoletto.
Ogni giorno
That is why you don't need a special occasion to visit us. Drop by for a quick lunch, a cosy dinner, a glass of wine with friends, an espresso and a piece of cake, a bite before the cinema, or just because you feel like it.
Le feste
And when there is something special to celebrate, L'Angoletto is also happy to provide the setting. We welcome both small and large parties, whether the occasion is a birthday, confirmation, family celebration, company event, or simply a good reason to gather people around a good Italian meal.
You'll find us on the corner of Helsingørsgade and Torvet, overlooking the castle lake and the majestic Frederiksborg Castle.
